Update on Teryn!

Here is the email I received from Teryn today:

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for voting and telling all your friends. Yesterday I received SO MANY kind emails, etc. Two things:

1) I found out today that you can vote once/day
2) Today at 11:30 I am going to be at the station doing a video interview and they asked for some pictures of me before I had kids, with Ryan and the kids, etc. Not sure what they are doing with all of this but they could make it onto the website – so when you are doing your DAILY voting, be sure to check for new things
3) FYI, The story that is posted is not exactly the one I wrote. They seemed to change it up a little – maybe to spice it up. I guess the mundane details of my triplet pregnancy weren’t exciting enough. Although I do think the one I wrote sounded a little more well written.

Today I received an email from my friend Teryn! I met her at one of my best friend's wedding (Rachelle's wedding)! She is so sweet, and we just really hit it off. We have kept in touch through email. She has 4 kids (a daughter, and a set of triplets)! Wow does she have her hands full! Here is the email I received from her:

Hey everyone,
About 2 weeks ago I entered a contest on 106.1 KISSFM for an “ultimate makeover” with the TV show “the Doctors”. The winner goes to LA to be on the show and will get the plastic surgery of their choice (mine is a tummy tuck and breast augmentation to fix what carrying triplets and breastfeeding them for over a year did!) There was over 2,000 entries and the radio station staff narrowed it down to 4 finalists. I was called this morning on my cell and I was on the radio (some of you heard) and they let me know that I was one of the “final four”. Now it’s up to the listeners to vote for the winner. Please go to the link below and vote for me this week!! Also, please send this to all your friends/family, etc. so that they can vote for me too! Now that my stomach is out there for the world to see, I really need to get it fixed!!! The winner is announced next Tuesday, December 2nd………(the surgery would be early next year)

What is going on... Seriously?

OMG, I can't figure out what is going on! Pierson is doing so many new things that are just not normal for him and he is growing up so fast.

First, he had a tantrum like no other! I don't know what side of the crib he woke up on that morning, but this tantrum was unbelievable. I couldn't even describe it if I wanted too. So I decided to sit back, watch, and of course document it with pics! So here it is in just a few pics. There were about 20 more believe it or not!

Second, he found a new way of sleeping, I guess! I walked in his room to wake him up so we could meet Mike for lunch, and this is what I discovered. He likes to sleep commando! I sure am glad we didn't have any surprises all over him, the wall, the crib, etc. If you know what I mean. He will be going to bed with pants every time now!

Third, he has decided that picking the diced veggies up out of the bowl and putting them in his mouth is way too boring. He just picks the bowl up and pours them in his mouth! What a mess!

And last but certainly not least, he has decided that Madeline's pink & green flower sunglasses are his favorite. He will put them on and walk around the house sporting these girly things. And don't even try to take them off or you will then see (refer back to the first thing) the tantrum!

What a week!

This last week has been so busy, but nothing too interesting happened! Well I take that back we did have a little incident between our neighbors but we won't go there! It is like Wisteria Lane over here! Besides that we did some Christmas shopping, which is always fun! Pierson wants a motorcycle or a race car. We went to Toys R Us and we could not get him off the little battery operated vehicles. I had to pry him from them! I guess I know what he wants for Christmas. Madeline wants everything. I thought the girl already had everything, but I guess I was wrong. If she sees a commercial, a toy catalog, or a kid playing with a toy in the store she wants it! She shouldn't be to hard to shop for this year!

We went to dinner with some of our neighbors. We ate at one of those Brazilian Steakhouses! Love it, but way too much food! This one has grilled hot pineapple with cinnamon & sugar on it! It is the absolute best! Madeline ate all of hers and was eyeing mine, and she said "I want some more", and I said very quickly "you will have to wait until they come back around with it again!" I was so selfish and was not going to share mine. We all started to laugh, and then I felt bad and gave her some of mine! She is growing up too fast!

Party at Ava's House

Happy 2nd Birthday Ava! Today is Ava's (my friend Kelly's daughter) birthday! Madeline & I went to Ava's birthday party on Saturday! We had so much fun, and it was so good to see everyone! My friend Cara & her son Landon were also there! After the party Cara & I stayed to visit with Kelly & Aaron. We could have stayed all night! Well except for the fact my husband called and said "hurry up and get home already. You have been there for 4 hours!" Actually I was 30 minutes late to the party, partially because of him, and partially because I thought I would outsmart everyone and find a quicker route to Kelly's! Yeah that backfired! I miss my navigation! I am totally getting one put in! So I had really only been there for 3.5 hours if you want to be technical! That is not bad for us girls! Thank you Cardwell family for inviting us to celebrate with your family!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a fun day of parties! First, Madeline & Pierson went to Mother's Day Out and had a party! After school, we went to a party that 2 moms from our neighborhood "mommy group" hosted! That was so much fun! These girls are so creative, and when they say "party" they mean "party" with everything decked out! The kids decorated pumpkins, played games, had outdoor entertainment, and lots of yummy food and goodies! Thanks Lori & Carla for inviting us to your halloween party!

After that party we headed home for our massive block party! This was an all out event! There were 2 bounce houses, games, food, drinks (plus drinks for the adults), a band, dj, stage with lights, rockband contest, costume contests, and lots of friends! There was even a disco ball hanging over the middle of the street!
