Disney on Ice!

Spring Break was here, and we had absolutely nothing planned. We had just gotten back from Disney World, so what in the world do we do to top that over Spring Break? My friend Tina called and ask if Madeline & I would want to go to Disney on Ice with her & Talon. That was a great idea! I knew that Maddy would love to go since we just got back from seeing all of the Disney characters in Florida! We had so much fun! We went to dinner at Olive Garden first, and then to the show! The kids loved it, and they were so good! Well at the show Maddy was good! At dinner was a whole different situation! It was a great night! Thanks Tina & Talon for inviting us to go with you guys!

Disney World!

The week before Spring Break, Mike decided to take 11 days off to spend time with me & the kiddos! We had spent the weekend hanging out and spending quality time together! Monday, we were trying to figure out what we were going to do the rest of the week, and we saw that it was going to be cold & raining all week long. We were so disappointed that Mike took off work, and we weren't going to be able to do much! We got on the Internet Monday night around 6pm and started entertaining the thought of going to Disney World the next morning! Everything fell into place perfectly. Amazing deals on airfare & hotel, we just had to do it! So it is now about 6:30 pm and our flight leaves at 8:30 am the very next morning! OMG, Pierson doesn't even have a swim suit, the kids need haircuts, and I can't even begin to think about what all to bring. It was chaos until about 1 am, and Mike & I had to go to bed to get up at 5:30 in the morning! The kids did not get there haircuts, but oh well!

We surprised Madeline, and told her we were going somewhere fun, but we didn't tell her anything else. She had no idea we were going to the airport or for that matter Disney World! We got to the airport and asked her if she knew where we were. There was a plane taking off, so I pointed up to the sky and said "Maddy look!" She said "an airplane, we're at the airport! YEAH!" She was so excited, but still didn't know where we were going! We boarded the airplane, which Pierson got lucky and got his own seat! Yeah for us, really! We had been on the flight for awhile when the flight attendant walked over to us and said "Are you going to see Mickey Mouse?" I looked at her, and very quickly said " she doesn't know where we are going?" Madeline said to the flight attendant " Where does Mickey Mouse live?" the FA then turned around and said "I don't know!" and she walked off! I was so surprised Maddy didn't say anything else about it! Not 30 minutes later, a mom and her daughter was walking by to go to the bathroom, and they looked at us and said "Are ya'll going to Disney World?" Geez people give me a break! Mike looked at her and said "NO, we're not going there." Madeline again was a bit preoccupied that I guess she wasn't really paying attention! At that point, we decided since we were about to land we would tell Madeline where we were going as soon as we got in the taxi to go to the hotel! So that we did, and she was so shocked as if she hadn't heard any of the chatter about where we were going! You should of seen her face, it was PRICELESS!

We stayed at the Nickelodeon hotel, which was so awesome! They had everything you could need for children, and adults!

The first night we were there, Madeline started to cough nonstop. We called her Pediatrician back home to call us in some Albuterol and another nebulizer because we didn't bring her's. She only does breathing treatments a few times a year and it is always in the winter! We went to the pharmacy and picked it up and started doing treatments. She coughed nonstop for 12 hours straight. It was so awful. I just kept doing the breathing treatments, but it was just getting worse. I finally decided to take her to the ER! We get there and the doctor says her lungs sound great, and she looks fine! I am thinking my child just had the worst asthma attack ever, and the doctor tells me her oxygen sats are great, and lungs are clear. That is good, but what the hell just happened then? He gave her oral steroids, and antibiotics just to be safe since we were out of town, and I have been told in the past Madeline probably has asthma. When we left the ER, I called an ER doctor friend of ours from home, and he said it didn't sound like she had an asthma attack, so he told me to try something and see if it worked! Well it did, so at that point I am glad she is better, but now I am confused. Does my child have asthma or not? Now lets get on with our week! We were now a day behind so lets go have fun!

Our hotel had a water park, and separate kids area! It was so great, Pierson & Madeline couldn't get enough!

That night we decided to got to downtown Disney to eat dinner and shop around! We ended up eating at the Rainforest Cafe in downtown Disney!

The next morning, we were about to leave for Magic Kingdom, and Madeline had to say hello to Dora & Pablo before we could leave! While we were waiting for our shuttle we met another couple who had kids around the same age as ours, and we all just really hit it off! Madeline couldn't get enough of her new friend, Emma! Mike & I had a lot in common with Ronnie & Becky, and Pierson had a new girlfriend, Olivia! It was perfect!

We finally made it!

We waited in line for the princesses, so Maddy could get her book signed & get pictures with them!

We were on the Snow White ride, and Maddy saw the witch! Her face is so funny!

The next morning we went to character breakfast at the hotel with our new friends! So fun!

We went to Downtown Disney again, but this time ate at Planet Hollywood with our new friends!

We spent the next day at the waterpark! We were suppose to go to Animal Kingdom, but since we were a day behind, we didn't have a day to rest in between so we decided to lay low at the hotel!

Madeline did not want to come home. She said she wanted to move to Florida! She didn't want to leave her new friend Emma, who was from Florida! We had such a great time, other than the hospital incident! The kids did great! Pierson adjusted so well, and they both made it until the park closed at Disney! We can't wait to go back! 5 days just wasn't enough!
